PNC Father/Son Junior Challenge Recap
Inaugural event enjoyed by more than 20 teams.
The inaugural PNC Father/Son Junior Challenge, an extension of the annual PGA TOUR Challenge event, concluded over Father’s Day weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes. The junior event was open to competitive juniors ages 11-18 and their parents. The event format consisted of a nationally-ranked junior event as well as a parent/junior team challenge in four-ball stroke play format, similar to the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
This unique playing opportunity made for a fun-filled weekend on the course for both juniors and parents alike. A complimentary welcome reception dinner was held on Friday, June 16 with tournament gifts provided by Under Armour. Saturday and Sunday rounds both went out in shotgun format at 8:00 AM. Both individual junior scores and overall team scores across each division were recognized with awards.

Winners in each age division earned an exclusive invitation for a VIP experience at the 2017 PNC Father/Son Challenge including access to the Champions Club hospitality and accommodations at Grande Lakes Orlando.




The IMG Junior Golf Tour was developed to fill a key niche in junior golf, the IMG Junior Golf Tour provides an elite setting for junior golfers to compete and gain exposure to college golf, professional golf, national junior rankings and athletic excellence.
Held in Florida every December, and open to boys and girls ages 11-18, the the IMG Academy Junior World Florida Challengeis a qualification and invitation only event featuring an international field of over 200 players.
