Southern Hills Plantation ClubFollowing three exciting events to open the 2011-12 IMG Junior Golf Tour season, Grand Cypress Golf Club in Orlando, FL and Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, FL are set to finish out 2011 for the tour.

The Jack Nicklaus-designed New Course at Grand Cypress Golf Club will host the 54-hole Thanksgiving at Grand Cypress November 24-27. Practice rounds will be held Thanksgiving Day with tournament rounds scheduled Friday – Sunday.

Set in the midst of an open meadow, the New Course is Jack Nicklaus’ tribute and homage to the famed Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. This Scottish links masterpiece is complete with double greens, stone bridges and walls, gorse mounds, burns and pot bunkers as deep as 12 feet—all in the spirit of the true Scottish original.

Elevations of 60 to nearly 250 feet provide a truly unique opportunity for golfers at the Pete Dye Signature Golf Course. Designed to maximize natural elevations and views, the private, 18-hole course is rated by Golf Week as one of the top 100 residential courses in the United States.
