The IMG Junior Golf Tour announced today the addition of a 36-hole event March 3-4 at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, FL.
The IMG Junior Golf Tour announced today the addition of a 36-hole event March 3-4 at Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, FL.
Home to the University of Central Florida Men’s and Women’s golf teams and Rollins College Men’s golf team, the course has hosted countless collegiate events and amateur events as well as the PGA TOUR’s Citrus Open. Some of golf’s greatest players like Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino and Julius Boros became champions at Rio Pinar.
“We are excited to add another event to our spring schedule,” said Tournament Director Andrew Parr. “The tour has continued to grow in the midst of our second season and we are pleased to add another quality playing opportunity. Rio Pinar is a venue with a lot of history and a challenging, tree-lined track that still tests collegiate golf teams every day – it will be a great tournament venue.”

The IMG Junior Golf Tour was developed to fill a key niche in junior golf, the IMG Junior Golf Tour provides an elite setting for junior golfers to compete and gain exposure to college golf, professional golf, national junior rankings and athletic excellence.
Held in Florida every December, and open to boys and girls ages 11-18, the the IMG Academy Junior World Florida Challengeis a qualification and invitation only event featuring an international field of over 200 players.
